Participants are expected to attend workshop 1 as a pre-requisite for workshops 2, 3, and 4, as some learning from this workshop is assumed for the subsequent workshops. All workshops will use a variety of learning methods, including role-play demonstrations, experiential exercises, pair work, small group work and large group discussions.
MARK LATHAM has been a Lecturer in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) at the University of York since 2001. Prior to this he worked in the National Health Service for sixteen years, eleven of those as a cognitive behavioural nurse therapist. He is an accredited member of the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies, and has extensive experience as a CBT trainer, clinical supervisor, and practitioner. He has an MSc in Advanced Cognitive Therapy Studies from the University of Oxford. In addition to his depth and breath of understanding of CBT, his knowledge of other therapeutic modalities makes his CBT courses accessible to all regardless of their training.
