Psychosis

Psychosis is a mental condition when you're unable to distinguish between what is real and what is imaginary. It's usually caused by an underlying mental illness but can also be caused by other factors, such as drug abuse.

Symptoms of psychosis include hallucinations and delusions. Treatment depends on the cause of the psychosis and includes prescribed medicines and talking therapies, such as counselling.
